Happy Lunar New Year of 2017. Years of the Rooster: 1921, 1933, 1945, 1957, 1969, 1981, 1993, 2005, 2017. according to Chinese zodiac have many excellent characteristics, such as being honest, bright, communicative and ambitious. Most of them are born pretty or handsome, and prefer to dress up. In daily life, they seldom rely on others. However, they might be enthusiastic about something quickly, but soon be impassive. Thus, they need to have enough faiths and patience to insist on one thing.

This painting is about Deaf people work hard and get up in the mornings to get start to built their small to big mountain for  Deaf community.

Included the Chinese red lanterns celebration with stitches cross shine in the window shows the hope and new beginning. 

The Black shadows on rooster head shows ASL of Rooster. Along with humans sign STAND for the activism.

Many people asked me if the window represents  Gallaudet Chapel window in the other paintings.I replied no, it is fence motif. then, this painting, It is a honor to have a Deaf home in this Deaf Rooster painting. Deaf community will build small to big mountain.
