This is a stencil painting of George Veditz showing “V” to represent his name. A National Association of the Deaf (NAD) president, Veditz was a teacher, activist, and advocate. In 1910, the NAD hosted the World Congress of the World Federation of the Deaf in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Even today, Veditz continues to be a revered leader in the Deaf community. In the background are names of different people and causes Veditz would be fighting for if he were still alive today.
